A planned road closure around a popular visitor centre could be set to cause confusion for families flocking to the forest.
For three weeks in June road works in High Beach will affect access to the Field Centre for both cars and coaches.
From June 3 to June 24 Cross Roads will be closed, meaning that motorists must use a diversion which has been set up via Epping New Road, A104, Woodridden Hill, A121, Wellington Road and Claypit Hill.
Coaches are being asked to use Claypit Hill to approach High Beach so visiting groups are being advised to plan their journey well ahead of any trip.
A map of the diversion can be downloaded from http://www.field-studies-council.org/media/727557/road_closure_3rd_-_24th_june.pdf.
