Motorists issued with parking tickets in the borough will now be able to see photographic evidence of their offence on the council's website.
The new project has been launched by Redbridge Council this week.
Motorists issued with fines can view their image by entering their parking ticket number and vehicle registration.
A council spokesman said the system was up and running, and that those fined would be able to see their photo "immediately".
He said: "The council believes that this will help motorists understand why a ticket was issued and allow them to have a better understanding of the evidence against them before they decide whether to appeal the penalty.
He added: "Those wishing to appeal can still do so by following the instructions on the back of their ticket."
