There's a wealth of fun and rewards for filmmakers on offer at The Walthamstow International Film Festival in July.
There will be film workshops at Vestry House Museum on July 6 and a free festival of cinema shorts at The Stow Film Lounge on Saturday, July 13.
Sponsors of film festival prizes include the BFI, which has offered a free place at the September Future Film Zombie event with Charlie Higson as a prize for the younger age group (15-25).
Clear Cut, the Soho-based, post-production house, is offering free time to winners of the drama and documentary categories and Production Base, an online storage service for directors, has a free annual membership up for grabs.
The popular audience vote also returns this year with prizes including free cinema tickets, haircuts and other prizes to encourage visitors to the free events to vote for their film favourite.
The judges this year include Noel Goodwin, head of youth education at the BFI; Barry Bliss, Walthamstow-based film director of international success Art Is; rising video-art star, Georgina Starr, whose installations and experimental films have been shortlisted in the Turner Prize and Ska legend, actress and presenter Pauline Black, who originally shot to fame with The Selecter in the 1980s with hits including 3-Minute Hero.
The film festival will screen a programme of international three-minute shorts at The Stow Film Lounge on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14. Entrance is free, from 2pm to 5pm.
There will also be a special screening of Elvis film classic, King Creole, accompanied by live music, food and a DJ. Wear vintage dress.
