It is thought teacher strike action next week will affect nearly 60 schools in the Redbridge.
The NUT and NASUWT walk-outs will cause 24 schools to completely close, leaving 34 to be partially affected, with more expected to be announced.
The one-day strike will take place October 17 as part of a long-running row over pay, pensions and workloads.
Teachers are accusing the government of “reckless and irresponsible behaviour” while the government says the strikes will disrupt classrooms and affect schools’ and teachers’ reputations permanently.
