Apple Day at Vestry House Museum in Walthamstow draws hundreds of visitors every year and raises money for local causes.
Apple-related activities on offer today included apple bobbing, a challenge to make the longest length of apple peel and guess the weight of different apples.
The most thrilling, though, was the William Tell game, where participants had to spear an apple using a bow and arrow.
