A group of friends have joined forces to hold a charity fashion show at a local nightclub to raise money for a cancer charity.
The show will take place on November 3 at Funky Mojoe nightclub, High Road, South Woodford, and aims to raise the profile of local boutique clothing stores while also raise over £2,700 for charity.
Twenty models are already lined up to take part including Miss Essex 2012, Amber Zakrzewski and ITV2's The Only Way Is Essex (Towie) cast members Darrell Privett and Jamie Reed.
Former Towie cast member and founder of Essex Fashion Week Adam Ryan will be hosting the evening, with further celebrity guests to be announced.
Sasha Hall and Polly Banan of South Woodford, are hoping to raise money for Cancer Treatment and Research Trust with the help of Funky Mojoe, who has donated hire of the club for free.
The friends have already raised over £1,000 and hope that ticket sales and future events will help them reach their target.
Miss Banan said: “The club and the clothing stall-holders who will be there on the night have been so generous.
“We have already sold over 100 tickets, and stall-holders will be paying for the opportunity to showcase their clothing, and keeping any profits they make.
“Not only will the event raise a lot of money for charity but it will raise publicity for small, boutique clothing brands in the area which would not normally get that much coverage.”
JunQi, a boutique in South Woodford, Pure Boutique, in Buckhurst Hill and Amosh Clothing are just some of the retailers being showcased.
