The owner of five dogs who attacked a woman and her pet has been tracked down by police.
A man, thought to be in his 50s, has been interviewed by officers in Loughton in connection with the incident in Gunpowder Park, Waltham Abbey.
He voluntarily went with police for questioning over the incident in which a dog walker and her whippet named 'Willow' were attacked.
Willow the dog almost died and had a four hour operation as a result of her injuries.
Her owner has been traumatised by the attack.
The man has not yet been charged with a criminal offence over the incident on October 1.
Police are speaking with the 44-year-old victim Laura Curd about how she wishes to proceed, as well as the CPS.
