Efforts to fund the renovation of a play area will continue with a Halloween party.
Apple bobbing, hat making, spooky cakes and ‘bewitching’ bedtime stories can be enjoyed by children from walking ago to seven-years-old at the event in North Weald.
North Weald Mums Group will host the party at the village hall on October 26, from 2pm to 4pm.
Member Isla Falconer said that the group has set its sights on fully equipping and improving Weald Common.
She said: “We are aiming to raise in excess of £25,000 to turn this play area in to a fun and exciting space for the community to enjoy.
“We are also thrilled to announce that our first grant application has been awarded to us from Stansted Airport Passenger community fund.”

Tickets cost £3.50.
