A new farmers' market is coming to Highams Park this month.

The Essex Farmers' Market will feature more than 20 stalls in the forecourt of Highams Park station on Sunday October 27, from 10am until 3pm.

It will take then place on the fourth Sunday of every month after that.

Cllr Sheree Rackham, of Hale End and Highams Park ward, said she is delighted after working with other councillors to get a farmers' market in the area.

Cllr Rackham hopes the market will encourage more people to the area at the weekend and increase trade to local businesses.

She said: “Everyone is so pleased about it but we have to get people in to support it. It’s for the community to enjoy.”
