A chicken shop has been badly damaged by fire.
Fire crews took more than an hour this morning to get the blaze in Wood Street, Walthamstow, under control.
There were no injuries.
The ground floor was badly damaged.
The London Brigade tweeted: “The fire on Wood St, E17 is out. It badly damaged the shop. If you run a takeaway make sure your extraction system is clean for the w/kend.”
Wood Street was closed to traffic in both directions between Upper Walthamstow Road and Roland Road and the W16 bus was diverted.
The fire brigade was called at 8.06am and the fire was under control shortly before 9.30am.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
