Police today released images of a man they want to trace in connection with two random assaults on women.
A 30-year-old woman from Waltham Forest was slapped by a man on a Central line train on September 20.
It is believed the same man hit a different woman at Shepherd’s Bush station shortly after.
Police said the Waltham Forest woman had become aware of a man acting strangely opposite her.
At 11.50am when she got off the train at Bond Street the man hit her on the left side of her face with the back of his hand, bruising her face and leaving her with a bloodshot eye.
Around 15 minutes later on an eastbound Central line platform at Shepherd’s Bush station, a 26-year-old woman from Hammersmith was hit in the face by a man walking in the opposite direction.
