A group opposed to the development of green belt land is appealing for support ahead of a crunch meeting.
Mark Swan is appealing against an Epping Forest District Council decision to block his plan to demolish agricultural barns at Blunts Farm in Coopersale Lane, Theydon Bois, and build four houses.
The Planning Inspectorate is due to announce its decision on Wednesday.
And the Theydon Bois Action Group, which says the development would lead to more protected space being built on, is calling on residents to join them in a show of strength at the meeting.
In a statement the group said: "Support the keeping of Blunts as agricultural, and not opening the flood gates to a raft of planning applications on this green belt farmland which will change the face of our village forever."
The meeting is due to take place in Committee Room One at the Civic Offices in High Street, Epping.
