Two men accused of killing a father as he tried to protect his family have appeared in court.
Father-of-two Shammi Atwal, from Chigwell, was pushed in front of a lorry after challenging ten men armed with metal bars and a sledge hammer who had tried to rob his business in Barking on October 14.
Vidmantas Gonskoves, 26 and Aurimas Diliunas, 27, appeared at Redbridge Magistrates Court yesterday charged with manslaughter and robbery.
Gonskoves of Grange Road in Plaistow, and Diliunas, of Rosslyn Road in Barking, were both remanded in custody ahead of a trial on November 4 at the Old Bailey.
