A man has been disqualified from driving after pleading guilty to drink driving and failing to stop after a road accident.
Also charged with failing to report a road accident to police Faisal Amin, who gave his address as Leyton Tyres and Spares in the High Road, appeared in Southend Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The 30-year-old was disqualified from driving for 20 months and forced to pay costs of £525 for the drink driving offence.
He was not punished further for failure to stop and the fail to report charge was withdrawn.
Amin was caught by police driving a silver Mercedes SLK 240 while over the prescribed blood alcohol limit in Southend, Essex, on October 4.
