It’s a pothole bonanza this week as I have unearthed multiple monstrous mega-cracks and made a few frustrated friends along the way.
A couple of horrors in Wroths Path, Loughton, were brought to my attention by Jessica Heff from the road.
Residents estimate the largest crater to have been there since last year and was made worse by the poor weather during winter.
Mrs Heff, 49, said: “You can avoid it if there isn’t a car parked next to it but if there is, you have no choice but to drive into it.”
Another highway helper from Wroths Path was Paulette Pewsey who was so annoyed with the bitumen ditches she had her photo taken with me by the other hole in the road.
Other sites featured this week include the junction of Star Lane and Hemnall Street, the other end of Hemnall Street near the junction with High Road, Epping.
Gerald Evans also kept me busy when he contacted me about a pothole on Trap’s Hill, Loughton, which he claims has been there for six-months.
So, six more entries on the list of shame which still has seven unrepaired ruts from previous pothole patrols.
We may need a thicker paper!
Thank you all for your pothole stories, keep them coming in to @pothole_man
