Children are being invited to a Halloween event on Saturday where they can 'trick or treat' safely.
More than 40 traders are hosting the free event at Wood Street Market in Walthamstow at 1pm and market owner, Tony Davis, has already stockpiled more than £100 worth of sweets.
Children will be able to go trick or treating round the shops in the market in their scariest costumes.
Trader, Janet Davis, of the Scrolls and Shells cake decorating shop in the market, said: “The children get disappointed because they can’t go out trick or treating because it’s too dangerous.
“The kids can come here and feel like they’re really getting involved in Halloween and trick or treating.”
Children will also be able to win a pumpkin by pulling the scariest face, take part in a witch drawing competition and win a prize for the best costume.
