A 32-year-old Waltham Forest man has been named as one of two men who died after falling into the basement area of a building near central London in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police named the pair this afternoon and describe the deaths as unexplained.
After receiving a call at 2.27am on Saturday to reports of two men seen arguing in Hampstead Road, near Regents Park, officers discovered they had fallen into the basement of a construction site.
It is believed they fell against a barrier around a housing development on the corner of Netley Street and Hampstead Road.
Police have named the Waltham Forest man as Gavin Brewer.
Stuart Meads, 34, from Hackney, also died.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
It is not thought anyone else was involved.
Post mortem examinations are scheduled to take place today.
Next of kin have been informed and Camden police are investigating, as well as the Health and Safety Executive.
An inquest is expected to open at St Pancras Coroner’s Court, but a date has not been set.
