A newly refurbished leisure centre is opening its doors to the public again today.
Leyton Leisure Centre, formerly known as Leyton Lagoon, was refurbished as part of a £25million programme of leisure centre improvements across the borough.
The centre has been completely re-fitted with new swimming pools and children’s play facilities costing around £3.5million.
The centre was for around six months and Leytonstone Leisure Centre will be next with works there due to be completed in March next year.
Council Leader Chris Robbins and Ashan Khan, cabinet member for health and well-being, cut the ribbon to open the new facilitly at noon today.
