Commuters face travel chaos this morning as wild weather hammers the area.
Fallen trees and debris on roads and railway tracks are causing major travel disruptions – with some rail service providers cancelling morning services and advising commuters to stay home until conditions improve.
Winds of up to 80mph are expected to continue to cause problems until around lunchtime.
The Central line is currently suspended in both directions between Leytonstone and Epping due to debris on the tracks.
All Stansted Express services are currently suspended.
Greater Anglia is advising customers not to travel on any of its routes before 10am.
Whipps Cross Road is partially blocked due to a fallen tree at James Lane and one westbound lane on the North Circular is blocked due to a fallen sign near the Crooked Billet interchange.
Meanwhile buses 34, 97, 215 and 357 are on diversion around Hoe Street, Walthamstow, which is blocked in both directions due to a fallen tree at Church Hill.
