Wood Street market traders joined forces to present a Halloween trick-or-treat party for local residents.
The aim of the event on Saturday was for families and parents to bring their kids along, have fun, and get involved in games and competitions in an environment where they can feel safe.
Independent trader and event organiser, Janet Davdison, 53, of Sprucehills Road, Wood Street, said: "It turned out to be a magical day and a really brilliant day out for kids and parents.
"It felt like a community, spirits were high, kids were safe and parents enjoyed the fact their kids were having fun in a safe, friendly environment".
