There are several Halloween-themed activities taking place for children to get involved with.
Events across the area include pumpkin carving, scary-mask making, fancy-dress costume prizes and face painting.
The View at Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge, in Rangers Road, Chingford, is holding a children's pumpkin carving event today from midday to 3pm.
Tomorrow are invited to learn about the history of Guy Fawkes and design their own paper props.
Everyday this half-term the Craft Cabin, in Station Road, Chingford, is holding a pumpkin carving and decoration event for children and adults.
The Mill, in Coppermill Lane, Walthamstow is holding a free event for children to take part in puppet shows, face painting and fancy-dress.
Children can enjoy a ghost ride on the Epping Ongar's Railway train in High Street, Ongar.
Ghost trains will depart from Ongar at 3.30pm, 4.45pm and 6pm.
There will be a welcoming drink, entertainment on board the ghost train, apple bobbing, goody bags for each child.

On Saturday, there is Spooky Wooky Halloween party for children aged one to five.
The event, organised by Toddler Sense, will take place at The Scout Hut, in High Road, South Woodford.
Kids can roam free in the indoor adventure play area, enjoy bouncy castles, take part in a pumpkin parade and watch a skeleton puppet show.
