A 103-year-old is taking social media by storm by knitting for charity.
A photo of Grace Chandler, of George Mason Lodge in Chelmsford Road, Leytonstone, has been liked by 53,000 people on Facebook and 1,000 retweets on Twitter in the last 48 hours.
She is taking part in the annual Big Knit, which invites people to knit a hat for bottles of Innocent drinks and smoothies.
The company will then donate 25p to Age UK for each drink sold.
Ms Chandler knitted 65 hats after seeing the campaign advertised on TV.
Ms Chandler is a regular user of social media and talks to her nieces using Skype.
Ms Chandler, born in 1910, has lived in the Waltham Forest area her whole life.
