Firefighters stopped a blaze reaching a house in Waltham Abbey.
The fire began in pallets in the back garden of the house in Christie Road in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The fire spread to the fence and wooden fascia of the house before it was extinguished.
Responding to a call at 12.14am crews from Waltham Abbey and Loughton fire stations managed to stop the fire before further damage was caused.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
