A total of 11 parks are still closed in the borough due to strong winds last week causing extensive tree damage.
Ilford was hit particularly badly with damage still being investigated in eight parks, including Goodmayes Park, Loxford Park, South Park, Seven Kings, Barley Lane recreation ground, Ilford War Memorial, Valentines Park and Westwood recreation ground.
Redhouse play area in Wanstead, Hainault recreation ground and Grove Road gardens in Chadwell Heath are also still undergoing investigation.
Last Monday strong winds reached speeds approaching 50mph, causing damage across the borough.
The Guardian is awaiting comment from the council on the latest park openings.
