Pictures taken inside Walthamstow Stadium show how work is progressing to turn the iconic site into a housing estate.
Work began in June, but heavy digging has now begun, with images showing the old track turned into rubble.
The housing development, which was opposed by a large section of the community, will include 294 new homes, including maisonettes, apartments and houses, a car park, cycle storage and recycling facilities.
There will also be “sensitive” restoration and refurbishment of the Stadium's iconic grade II listed Tote building and former dog kennels, which will be brought back into community use.
