Three men appeared at the Old Bailey charged with killing a shopkeeper.
Father-of-two Shammi Atwal, from Chigwell, was pushed in front of a lorry and killed on October 14 after chasing ten men who attempted to rob his shop, armed with metal bars and a sledgehammer.
Vidmantas Gonskoves, 26, of Grange Road in Plaistow, and Aurimas Diliunas, 27, of Rosslyn Road in Barking, were charged with manslaughter and robbery and have been remanded in custody until January 20.
Farhan Sheikh, 38, of Thornhill Gardens, Barking, was charged with conspiracy to rob and has also been remanded in custody until January 20.
A fourth man, who cannot be named but is a Lithuanian national, was arrested on October 23 on suspicion of murder and robbery but was bailed until December 20.
