A £2.5 million refurbishment of a museum has begun.
Preparations for work at Epping Forest Museum in Sun Street, Waltham Abbey, started on Friday.
The project, which has been given £1.6million from The Heritage Lottery Fund, is scheduled to finish by spring of 2015.
While the works is being carried out, the museum will hold a series of events under the banner, Museum on the Move.
Staff will visit local centres, such as libraries, with exhibits.
