A new neighbourghood inspector for Epping Forest has been appointed
Insp Andy Fusher, 44, has been a police officer for 24 years and an inspector for the last 11, and he has worked all over Essex in previous roles.
He started his new job on Monday after eight months in Kent as the head of training.
He has also served as district commander in Colchester, neighbourhood policing team inspector in Witham and leadership training manager at Essex Police College.
He said: “I am a great believer that people are the main key to our success and part of that is making sure my officers are able to respond and deal with our most important people, our community.
“To achieve any goals, trust and confidence are of paramount importance and I would ask the community to let me know of any issues or problems they have and good work achieved by the team.”
One of his main objectives main is to encourage more people to attend meetings with police discussing issues in their area run by residents.
Away from the force the married father-of-two is a keen cyclist and blues singer who has also been known to tread the boards performing Shakespeare.
