We wish to put on record our thanks to all the parents who campaigned against academy status for Snaresbrook Primary School and to John Cryer MP and Lee Scott MP for their help in the campaign.
Lee Scott met with parents and it was his direct intervention with (education secretary) Michael Gove that was the decisive factor in removing the threat to the school based on the considerable improvements that have already been made.
We wish the executive head Carel Buxton and her team every success in the task of bringing the school out of special measures and are confident that this will be achieved.
Cllr Chris Cummins, Cllr Sue Nolan and Cllr Peter Goody, Snaresbrook ward councillors.
