Animation The Dog Song by filmmaker Ellie Mumford has been declared winner of the Walthamstow International Film Festival Audience Vote.
The charming animation won over audiences at a special entrants screening at Vestry House Museum in Walthamstow Village.
Ellie’s film was highly commended in the animation category when the judges met to decide on the festival winners in May at The BFI.
The film, which shows the strong doggy bond of love and loyalty, was also awarded The Debbie Bliss animation prize.
Speaking of her win, Ellie says: "It's really great that Walthamstow International Film Festival gives new filmmakers the opportunity to have their films screened in front of an audience.
"It's been very encouraging for me and has really spurred me on to get started on my next film project- maybe I'll have something made in time for next year's festival!"
One Man, Eight Cameras by Naren Wilks came second in the Audience Vote and local film-makers Tyrell Charles and M Sobrienska from Holy Family Technology College Media Studies course placed a close third with their pensive documentary The King’s Legacy.
