A primary school is to celebrate its 200th anniversary this weekend.
The milestone occasion at Woodford Green Primary School, in Sunset Avenue, will see the school's archives on display in the format of eight logbooks borrowed from Walthamstow's Vestry House Museum.
During the celebration between 1pm and 3pm on Saturday, a brass plaque donated by a pupil's family will be unveiled by Waltham Forest mayor councillor Terry Wheeler.
The school comes under the local authority of Waltham Forest, making it the oldest in the borough.
There will be performances by the Blackhorse and Standard North West Morris dancing group and singing from the school's bicentenary choir.
Father Christmas will make a special appearance and there will be stalls selling crafts made by pupils, as well as traditional fete games, refreshments, a raffle, face-painting and a dress-up photo booth.
All funds raised on the day will go towards the cost of designing a commemorative mosaic.
The school is appealing to ex-pupils and staff to get in touch with photos and to share memories on the day.
