Police are appealing for information after a woman wearing a burkah was racially abused onboard a bus.
The Asian woman, 27, boarded a 69 bus from Walthamstow Central station on January 19 with her child in a pushchair.
A slim black woman, aged between 20 and 25 then racially abused the victim during the journey after speaking with her at the bus stop.
Police have given no further information on the incident, which occurred after the women boarded the bus at around 3.20pm.
The suspect is described as having strong jaw line and hair tied back into a long ponytail.
Officers from Waltham Forest community safety unit are appealing for anyone who was on the bus and heard or witnessed the abuse to contact them on 020 3276 0963 quoting reference 4901386/15.
