Police investigating the kidnap of a woman are appealing for two key witnesses to come forward.
A 19-year-old woman raised the alarm after managing to escape a property in Norfolk Road, Walthamstow, at 8pm on Wednesday, April 29.
She approached a woman in nearby Higham Hill Recreation ground, who called the victim a taxi, and the police were contacted at 10pm.
Detectives are trying to trace the mother, who is described as black with curly hair, and the taxi driver, who is described as Asian.
He was driving a black car with the word 'TAXI' on the side, front and rear doors of the vehicle.
The driver collected the victim from the recreation ground and dropped her off in Harts Lane, Barking.
Detective Constable Alf Rioja, of Waltham Forest CID, said: "We are really keen to speak to these witnesses, or anyone that can give us information that could assist us with this investigation."
No further details have been released for legal reasons.
