Another knife has been taken off the streets after it was discovered by officers in a park.
The 20cm blade kitchen knife was found near a park bench inside Higham Hill Recreation Ground in Hecham Close, Walthamstow, yesterday (August 16).
It was found by PC Ross Packham during a weapon sweep, which is a routine operation conducted by Higham Hill ward officers.
He said: "We try and do them (weapon sweeps) where we think there is a problem.
"The recreation ground has historically had problems.
"It was a good result for us."
