A man was cut from the wreckage of his car and taken to hospital after a collision with a bus on a busy high road this morning.
Police were called to High Road, South Woodford, just before 10am today (September 30) to reports of a crash.
A silver Ford Focus and a 179 bus collided just past the bridge over the North Circular opposite the Waitrose store.
London Fire Brigade officers removed the roof the car to allow safe exit from the vehicle for the driver.
The driver of the Focus, a man in his 70s, was taken to a local hospital by London Ambulance Service to hospital for treatment.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Redbridge Police confirmed there were no arrests and it is investigating the incident.
The vehicles are currently being removed and the road remains open.
