A brand new £400,000 outdoor activity centre facilities has opened at Fairlop Waters.
People are now able to enjoy a new high ropes course, climbing wall, and children’s rope course after Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure completed four months of work to install the equipment.
Cllr Dev Sharma, Lead for Civic Pride at Redbridge council said: “These facilities don’t just represent the borough’s commitment to keeping people active but also shows that we recognise the importance of outdoor learning for schools, youth groups and other residents.
“With this installation we provide a place for people to earn recognised accreditations such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award.”
The facilities operate during daylight hours, with the high ropes course catering to a range of different ages and abilities, including those with disabilities.
Cllr Sharma, added: “We’re proud of the Borough’s green spaces and range of facilities that residents can use to stay fit, keep active and learn new skills. I’m delighted to be adding this facility to that long list.”
