A Walthamstow man has been jailed after being found guilty of possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply in a Hertfordshire town.
Miles Bridgeman was sentenced to two years and three months in jail at Cambridge Crown Court on March 22.
The 23-year-old denied the charge but was found guilty at an earlier court hearing of possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine in Stevenage.
He had been staying in the town back in January this year, when he was arrested and charged after attempting to flee from police.
After he had discarded drugs at the scene, officers then searched his hotel room in the town centre and found wraps of heroin and cocaine.
Hertfordshire Police detective constable Hayden Coggins, who investigated the case, said: “Drugs destroy lives, not only for those who consume them and are addicted to them, but also for the families, friends, and loved ones, who are left to pick up the pieces.
“We are committed to stamping out drug crime in Stevenage, and I hope this sends a clear message to others who think they can come here and deal.”
