A man has died after being found bleeding and unresponsive in a park.
Police were called to Wanstead Park at around 7.55pm on Saturday (July 16) to reports of a man in his 40s heavily bleeding.
The London Ambulance Service was also called to the scene just off the A406 North Circular, but the man was pronounced dead moments after.
The man’s death happened while the park was filled with festival-goers for the last ever Music in Wanstead Park event.
Officers are still working to identify the man and inform his next of kin.
A post mortem examination at East Ham Mortuary on Monday (July 18) gave cause of death as blood loss.
The man’s death is being treated as unexplained, but police claim they are not treating it as suspicious.
Any witnesses or anyone with information should call Redbridge Police on 101.
