OLD copies of the Guardian Series which are more than a century old have been discovered.
This edition of the Leytonstone Express and Independent, dated November 7, 1914, shows just how much the world has changed in 102 years.
The front page featured nothing but adverts, including one taken out by Louis F. Wish & Son Ltd, advising people the war had not yet affected the price of milk.
Meanwhile, the Red Lion Hotel, which today is a pub, was advertising lunch and afternoon tea.
South Woodford Picture Theatre, which today is an Odeon, took out an advert saying: 'look out for special films next week'.
