A teenage boy from east London will appear in court later this month charged with encouraging terrorism.
The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested at his home by officers at around 8.15am on Tuesday, June 16.
He was then taken into custody and questioned as part of an investigation by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.
He returned on police bail today (Tuesday, November 8) and was charged with encouraging the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.
He is due to appear on bail at Westminster Magistrates' Court at 9.30am on Monday, November 21.
Police say they have also been providing support to the boy’s family during the course investigation.
