Il Trovatore
Live from the Royal Opera House. Il Trovatore is one of the great operas of the Romantic period, a story of passion and blood, love and vengeance, disaster and murder. The famous Anvil Chorus is just one of the highlights of Verdi’s exceptional music, which captures the shifting emotions of the drama through impassioned love duets, fiery solos and stirring choruses.

More Eavesdropping
Unlike most plays which are either scripted or devised, More Eavesdropping is unique in that it is neither. The piece is created by a company of actors who spend several weeks covertly recording real people engaged in genuine conversations. These recordings are then scripted, explored and reinterpreted through rehearsal to find their dramatic potential. Each vignette is a miniature work of art in itself and offers the audience a great insight into the world around us.

Influenced by the internet, 24 hour shopping, trashy magazines, kitsch obsessions, day-glo fashion and dubstep beats, Barrie’s work fuses together in a mishmash of pop styles.
