The annual Chariot festival celebrated by the Hindu community took place on Sunday August 13.

Worshippers dressed in colourful clothing played music and sang and danced in the religious festival.
Men with hooks through their skin were suspended from cranes on floats that made their way through the streets of Walthamstow.
The group assembled at the Sri Karpaga Vinayagar temple in Bedford Road, Walthamstow where Mayor of Waltham Forest Cllr Yemi Osho gave a speech,
The festival is part of a 15 day programme of events put together by the Hindu community in Waltham Forest.
