Plans for the redevelopment of a town centre building will go on show to the public for the first time tonight.
Juniper House, in Hoe Street in Walthamstow is set for regeneration and residents can still have their say on the proposals.
Currently, Waltham Forest Council plan to build 87 homes on the site; 35 per cent of which will be either council rent or shared ownership properties.
The plans also include a nursery and shops but the council will keep ownership of the land, allowing businesses to rent premises from them.
Hill Partnerships Limited will carry out the building work which is set to begin in summer 2019 and be completed by early 2021.
A follow up consultation will be held from September 2018 to allow the public to give feedback on more detailed proposals for the scheme.
A planning application is due to be submitted in autumn this year when further public consultation will take place.
A planning decision is expected in spring 2019.
The council plans to hold a drop-in session this evening for residents to see the plans and feedback on them from 6pm until 8pm at Walthamstow Library, High Street, Walthamstow, E17 7JN.
