Star Trek fans are in for a space age treat at Piccadilly Circus, as the station rebrands ahead of a new series of the show.
The Tube stop has become Picard-illy for 48 hours, ahead of the launch of Star Trek: Picard on Amazon Prime later this month.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard led the starship Enterprise as it boldly went where no man had gone before in the show’s third series, Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Along with Commander William Riker, android Data and the rest of crew, he travelled the galaxy in search of adventure.
Now actor Patrick Stewart – who played Picard in the original series – will return as the lead in the latest instalment.
The new series charts his response to the death of Data, and the destruction of planet Romulus, home to his long-standing enemies, the Romulans.
And for 48 hours from today, roundels and signs at Piccadilly Underground have been rebranded in honour of the Enterprise’s most celebrated captain.
There are also special Star Trek themed tannoy announcements to help passengers live long and prosper as they use the station.
If you missed it yesterday, you can also catch the fun today – after all, resistance is futile.
