Three men have been arrested after a police pursuit in Chigwell ended in a crash.
At about 3.35pm today, a car, suspected of having false number plates, was pursued by a marked police vehicle in Chigwell.
A short time later the vehicle, a Volkswagen Golf, was involved in a collision with another car in Gravel Lane.
The three male occupants of the Volkswagen Golf were detained near the scene and arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police.
Although they are not believed to have any serious injuries, they have been taken to hospital to be assessed.
The two members of the public in the other car were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. Their condition has been assessed as non life-threatening.
The London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade were called to the scene.
