A man has been charged with murder following a stabbing earlier this week.
Tomas Macionis, 35, has been formally identified as the victim who was stabbed to death on Alexandra Road, Walthamstow, on Tuesday (March 31) at 10.55pm.
The Lithuanian national living in Walthamstow was found by police and ambulance services seriously injured with stab wounds to his chest.
He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
Rizwan Abassi, 31, of Alexandra Road has been charged today (April 2) with the murder of Mr Macionis.
Abassi will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates' Court later today.
Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command continue to investigate the incident.
