The rate of infection continues to soar in Redbridge despite neighbouring boroughs slowing the spread of the virus.
In the seven days to November 20 (the latest available accurate data) there were 911 new lab-confirmed cases.
That represent an infection rate of 298.5 per 100,000 people, one of the highest in London.
The week before the east London borough posted 841 new infections, a rate of 275.5.
In Waltham Forest the spread of the virus has slowed slightly.
Between November 13 and 20 573 new cases were confirmed at an infection rate of 206.9.
The week before there had been 644 new cases reported in the borough which has an approximate population of 275,000 – an infection rate of 232.5.
Data for the most recent four days is incomplete and does not reflect the true number of cases.
Across the country a further 353 people who tested positive for coronavirus died in hospitals, bringing the total number of confirmed in hospitals in England to 38,865.
Of the latest deaths, patients were aged between 10 and 100 years old. All except nine had known underlying health conditions.
