A vigilant member of the public alerted police to a stashed bag of zombie-style knives, machetes and axes, in Waltham Forest today.
Waltham Forest Metropolitan Police Service tweeted a picture of the haul today thanking the member of public who had called in the haul of deadly weapons.
The photo shows the contents of the black bag found stashed by police officers: two machetes; five zombie knives and a small hand axe.
The bag also contained two building bricks.
Gang members often stash weapons and drugs in public places, to avoid the risk of them being found by police on their person or at their homes.
Waltham Forest MPS tweeted: “It’s been a busy start for ERPTC today. Earlier this set we recovered this bag of weapons. Thank you to the vigilant member of the public who called.”
