A volunteer police officer has been booted off the force for repeatedly claiming expenses for food, drink and petrol when he was not entitled to it.
Special Constable Daniel Palomar, who was attached to the North East Command Unit which polices Waltham Forest and Newham, was found to have breached the standards of honesty and integrity, which were proven as gross misconduct.
Palomar had repeatedly applied for and received expenses payments for food, drink and mileage when he knew or ought to have known that he was not entitled to such expense payments between March 2018 and June 2019.
He was kicked out of the Metropolitan Police following the conclusion of a misconduct hearing on Friday, June 4.
The panel deemed the volunteer had breached the force's standards of professional behaviour in respect of honesty and integrity.
