Two women were violently assaulted on a Central Line tube train between Leyton and Leytonstone.
Detectives investigating the attack have released images of two women wanted for questioning in connection with the assault.
At around 7.40pm on Saturday, June 5, the victims, two women travelling on an east-bound Central Line train between Leyton and Leytonstone, were approached by another two women.
The women became abusive and aggressive towards the victims, punching one several times in the face and pulling them to the floor by their hair.
Whilst on the floor the victim was kicked and spat at. When the other victim tried to intervene, they were also punched in the head.
Officers believe the people in the image may have information which could help their investigation.
